Otero County NAACP presents its annual Junteenth Celebration, Saturday, June 18, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Alamogordo Public Library, music and dance outside under the trees. Karunna Warren and his New World Drummers and Dancers will entertain with traditional African drums and dance. Dancing and singing encouraged. Everyone Welcome!

What We Are Doing
We work with our legislators to help pass pertinent legislation such as racial profiling.* We work with Boys and Girls Club! Big Brothers, Big Sisters! Participate in the MLK Committee, MLK annual celebration and participate in the annual walk in honor of Dr. King!
We are sponsors of the annual Educator of the Year Banquet, annual Juneteenth Celebration, drumming and dance workshops, Forum on Racism, Hold online classes on professional development for young people. Award grants to college applicants. We sponsor quarterly presentations by community experts on topics from “dental hygiene” to “violence against women”. Everyone welcome!
