Reverend Warren L. Robinson, Jr. was born to Alyce and Warren L. Robinson, Sr. on August 5, 1948 in Portland, Oregon.

He married Paulette Hilton in 1970 while still in college. They have been married 37 years and have two children, Micah and Gabriella.

Rev. Robinson has worked as a trainer and a group facilitator. He designed, implemented and taught, “Self Esteem” seminars for the National Job Corps Alumni Association in Florida and Colorado. He led a variety of small and large-group sessions, including counseling, educational and worship services. Through these sessions, he motivated 600 clients in a three-year period to rejoin the workforce and become self-sufficient. His skills helped him to achieve status as a highly in-demand classroom instructor, teaching grades on through eight in three states.

His people skill led him to become a personnel administrator working for Nordstrom, which was the first private company to achieve compliance status under the Americans With Disability Act. With their firm belief in equal rights, Nordstrom formed a team whose mission was to ensure equal opportunity. Rev. Robinson was a member of that strategy team. He became the Program Specialist focusing on improving store-wide customer service and employee satisfaction. His trainer and facilitator skills were honed while he worked as classroom instructor at ICDA Charter High School in Reno, Nevada from 1995-2003. He was instrumental in helping to open the first charter high school in the state of Nevada. While at ICDA, he instructed classes in Computer Based Interactive Courses in English, Math and History. He taught Photography, Plant Studies, Career Exploration, Senior Seminar and Yearbook classes.

Before becoming an instructor, he worked at Jobs Opportunities in Nevada as a Training/Program Specialist from 1995 to1998. He administered the Intake and Training Programs for JOIN by assisting and training unemployed management and professional personnel to become reemployed.

Rev. Robinson has always been able to motivate people. He demonstrated this when he was led the Career Seminar Instruction Class for Portland Community College from 1992-1995. He led and instructed Career Focus Seminars for 500 hundred clients in state mandated employment programs.

Before becoming a career trainer and facilitator he worked as a Personnel Assistant at Nordstrom in 1988-1992.There he hired new employees and ensured compliance with Federal and state employment laws, including the American With Disabilities Act. He also directed Safety and Accident Training.

Finally, it was his background in education that spurred him to higher heights. All of his skills and achievements were utilized when he started teaching children in the public school systems in Oregon, Washington, Ohio, and Nevada. He taught first through nine from 1970-1988.

Rev. Robinson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He completed his graduate work toward his Masters Degree at the University of Oregon in 1972. He was licensed to teach in Oregon, Washington, Ohio and Nevada.

Warren is a multitasking individual. He as first ordained in Columbus. Ohio in 1984 and pastored the House of Prayer Non-Denominational Church for four years. He has been an Ordained Minister in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church since 1997. He believes in helping out the community and that is why he has been an American Red Cross Donor since 1978. He continues to help the community by volunteering as a Chaplain for the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center. He currently President of the Otero County NAACP, the Otero County Boys and Girls Club and the Alamogordo Public Library Board. He is also currently the Development Director of the Alamogordo Public Library Foundation.

His hobbies include poetry, jazz, horticulture, travel, photography and human development.
