The sign designating the sponsorship of MLK Drive by the NAACP of Otero County and the MLK Jr. Committee was “planted” this week near the corner of MLK and Hamilton Rd. Joel Hamilton, Esther and James Washington provided their expertise! The name of the young man from Keep Alamogordo Beautiful City is pending.

We noticed you recently adopted Martin Luther King, Jr. Rd in Alamogordo. Thank you for participating in keeping our city
roads clean of trash and debris.
We live just up the street from Martin Luther King, Jr. Rd and have noticed the roadsides on MLK are full of trash and debris. I hope this email will reach the right person to effect the cleanup.
Thanking you in advance.
Sincerely,
Marvin

Thank you, Marvin, for your comment. At this time we pick up trash every three or four months - not as fast as the litterers do their work, however. At the moment we are busy preparing for the NAACP State Conference to be held here in Alamogordo, October 19-21. We will have another pick-up drive shortly thereafter.
Thanks again for your comment and interest in Martin Luther King Jr. Rd.
